Project Background

With an expanding portfolio of products, the customer sought to enhance the compatibility of their automation equipment with different products and improve changeover efficiency, with the goal of enabling shared production of multiple products through a standardized platform to maximize equipment utilization rate.

 

Solution

Mijoint adopted a standardized platform solution, carrying out standardized design for machine frame, modules, and key mechanisms, and configuring specific modules for various Flex-series products.

By switching modules and corresponding programs, the equipment can be adapted to different products, and utilize high-precision positioning, linear motors, and gantry structures for product production.

Shortened changeover time: Product changeover time was cut from 4 hours to 30 minutes, an improvement of 87.5%.

Improved productivity: Cycle time was reduced from 26 seconds to 20 seconds, an improvement of 20%.
